Since I already did Frosty, I decided to use the ornament die, painted gold, crackled, and then used Tattered Twig di.....I think it looks better without the red bg, but oh well....it is what it is. On the bg, I used spun sugar and shabby shutters distress stain......green was ok, but the sugar was too light, so I added some brick to the sugar on my craft sheet and stamped into it, much better effect. The swirlie was done in picket fence stain, but didn't show up at all, so again, I turned to the brick. I stamped the snowflakes with the berry di.........I'm really not a tulle gal (ruffles either) but followed the Timster. I hope tomorrow is easier.....lol!
So glad to see you are finding healing within your studio! You beat me again today - that dry time was a killer! Love your red BG - perfect for the LOVE ornament!
ReplyDeleteI tell you there are healing spirits in our craft rooms! Love the background and the gold is fantastic for the ornament! Boy do I hear you about the dry time on everything and then I go and add stickles to his hat! So happy that you are playing!

Gorgeous tag Gerrie, I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteHi Gerrie~
ReplyDeleteWow, this had a lot of steps in it! I love the ornament with the musical notes behind it. The spun sugar and brick red look great on this background. I especially like seeing the snowflakes in the deep color! I love the stamped swirls on the top right part...this is just so joyous...and bold! Like LOVE itself!
