12 Tags Book

Presenting my 12 Tags of Christmas...bound and beautiful!

I am so pleased on how this turned out....both inside and out. A labor of love is what I would guess I can call it. As I started working on the tags, I knew I wanted to bind them into a book...quickly figured out that those old coin evnies I had stashed would hold my tags....and went on from there. The hardest part was learning how to use the new software and edit the photos! I was pretty nervous about binding them too...I kid you not...but that was a snap using the Bind it All of course. I am NOT a mechanical person....i.e., it only took me 6 trys to get the program installed, LOL....and then maybe 3 hours to get the photos edited...tee hee!...so here goes a BIG high 5'r to me! (and would you like to know who crabby I got...noooooooooo).

The Book itself - covered in DSP, distressed and painted shabby chic style with Crakle Paint. The letters are Grundgeboard Alpha Swirls, painted and distressed, then added the corners, etc.

These are all the beautiful tags I made from the very kewl classes I took from Tim's blog. Each one fits into it's own envelope. I cut the flap off the coin envelope, punched the top. I got out all my color washes and "stuff to mask designs", and started spraying...first one side, then the other. I casually stamped the envelopes and distressed the edges. The final step was to grunge number each one. Finally....I stuffed each tag where it belonged, tied on a few ribbons and tags and wha-la!

I typically don't chat this much on my blog posts, so forgive me if I'm a little excited about sharing this with you all.....but................... I am SO EXCITED! hugs............

Thanks for sharing! How I wish I had the time to play with Tim's techniques.
Just got a bind it all. Haven't had time to use it yet. Hopefully soon.
I'll be checking in on your blog ~ I added it to my favorites.

It is lovely..Is there any chance that you can post your individual tags, too? It is hard to see the gorgeous designs in the photo.
Just wondering!!!

Oh, Gerrie! No wonder you are so excited. It is such a beautiful project. Putting them in a book is a great idea. Have you e-mailed Tim with a link to this page? You need to do that!

Gerrie, Congratulations on this art achievement! Your tags, envies and bound book look so enticing...I'd love to see close-ups of each tag! Any chance you might load pics of them on to your blog? Now that you've persevered through all of this, there'll be no stopping you now!
