Blogger Challenge 29

Finally my challenge is done! I have been stressin' all week about this layout....clean, simple, easy and extremely not me! So I worked it, and reworked it until I got it to be more my style.

Same layout as the rest of the group but with a little grunge. I used the Thai Budda set from Artistic Outpost for the entire card. You have seen me use the Budda guy several times from this versatile set, but this time I used the flowers. The little pots have been stamped on top of a maybe a new technique that I developed by playing around with H20's (more later), then colored in with markers. The top piece was stamped again and again to make the background paper. The bottom piece...don't you just love those lotus blossoms...was masked off to make the arrangement. Currently, Artistic Outpost has a special on both the oriental themed stamp sets, thru January 31st - 20% off selected rubber sheets: Thai Buddha & Chinese Proverbs. While you are there, be sure to look over the new release stamp sheets that are so much fun, Serenity, My Knight, Geek sheet and Backgrounds. I'll be showcasing the Knight sheet next week, with some Blog Candy.....so come back often to see what'z up.

H20 Technique: Really fun, fast and FAB results.....on glossy cs, paint on 2 or 3 colors, spray with water, place between a clear vinyl presentation folder and smoosh, let dry, use! Wha la! Try it and let me see what you do with it. It really sparkles and shines.
until the next time.........hugs, Gerrie

I have to laugh, Gerrie, you even managed to use Artistic Outpost stamps (LOVE THEM!) on this one, too! I couldn't get over the cutesy factor of the layout -- and I am sure that you, the wonderful, elegant stamper that you are, had the same issues. Your card came out GREAT!
