My First Altered Book

I am so excited about this project. I lurk at a group, Next-Generation-Stampers, and while out of town last week...picked up a child's board book to alter with the group. I had some catching up to do, and accomplished most of it today. This is the first spread. We are given instructions, told what to do and how to do it....how great is that!.....and go for it! I am learning so much. This sort of experience is really "out of the box"....LOL, just where I luv to be! smiles....The first requirement was to pick a letter and stamp it on the page. Then you had to find a quote that started with that letter and use the quote on the page. The next page has several layers including a piece of magazine, book, stamped images and the additional finishing touches. The last requirement was to add 3 silver somethings on the page. I can't wait to start the next spread! hugz....

Lovely altered book spread! I just completed my first one too- have never made an altered book before and am really happy with how it came out.
Don't you just love Trish on Next Generation? She's certainly helped me come out of my artistic "box" in a lot of ways!

If you'd like a peek at my book, it's on my blog:
