Bits & Pieces & Steampunk

My dear sweet friend Hels from Sunday Stamper's challenge is Bits & Pieces. I thought I'd play in her challenge cuz I luv her so much, and added a little Steampunk from the new Artistic Outpost release along with a lots a' stuff, some I found on my walk this morning, lol! My DH insists I am off my rocker when I pick up the found loot, what can I say, 'cept it's Hel's fault!

I seem to walk the wire as far as time goes playin' with Hel's, cuz I think so hard (and that is a task some days) about what I'm going to make. Finally it's done, and we got lots'a bits and pieces in here. How about it?

I painted the chipboard Hel's fav color, using Studio Tan...what else, and mind you in comes in a "pot", not a jar, so she says! Then I glued on all those pieces of torn paper that had been sprayed with various sprays. Then I used the Antique Glimmers tech from the TJNL using Distress Wild Honey and Pumice Stone inks, sprayed with a spray I made using Creative Inspirations Mango Paint mixed with some water. It really gives off a lot of shimmer under all the "stuff", shall we call it. When dry, I edged the piece in Wild Honey, Barn Red and then a little Black Soot. I used a piece of Ten Second Studios red metal with one of their new Big Mama molds, Gears; and using the new Gear die from Tim and TSS metal, run thru 2 different molds, I had gears that I colored using Alcohol Inks. The smashed ol' rusty bottle cap at the top was one of my a.m. finds, as well as the thingie in the middle of the clock on the upper right. I had this paper circle thingie in my stash, made from some sprayed book pages, added my "find", it looked like a clock, so I added numbers. The train was stamped on rust paper, and I added a little shimmer from Creative Inspirations Paint, silver and sage, using one of my fav tools, my finger! Here is a little close up of the shimmer.

I added another little gear to the front of the train and edged it with some small ball chain. I stamped the steampunk on a fabric tag (washing instructions) off a recently bought pair of jeans with Stazon.

So when you put it all together it is a bunch of Bits & Pieces, spelled HEL'S!!! hugz.....
