It's "Just Desserts" week at the Creative Inspirations Blog Team Challenge this week, and challenge it was! I'm not a "cupcake" stamper, so we had few choices this week......I decided to go with one of the very few stamps I had to be able to join in, but also one of my fav desserts! I used the strawberry from the Artistic Outpost Bloom and Grow recent release. Isn't that a yummy looking berry!
It's a pretty CAS "clean and simple" card this week. I actually have made an "inchie" card, using 3 pieces of inch EcoArtBoard from Rubber Stamp Concepts to stamp on. I really like this product, it's lightweight, ideal for stamping and adds dimension to my projects. I colored my inchie by painting a line of Fuscia and Rose Quartz on my craft sheet....placed my inchie down into the paint and gave it 1/4 turn to mix the paints. After it was dry I painted the edges and then embossed the strawberry on top of the paint. I wanted the strawberry to pop out at you, and had Ipainted over it, the dimension and beauty of the stamp would have been compromised. I added 2 colors to the leaf stem, Spring Green and Evergreen. When this was dry I brushed on a little Glossy Accents for shine.
Please stop by and see what the rest of the gals have done this week by visiting the Creative Inspirations Blog button on my side bar. Have a good one, hugz....
