Take an Autumn Stroll............

..........thru the woods, over the streams and find this deserted stone road with an old covered bridge like this on it.........almost a dream, but it does happen! once or twice in your lifetime!!

Our challenge this week at Creative Inspirations Paints is to think Autumn, take an Autumn stroll, you get the idea.  I knew immediately that I was going to use this image from Artistic Outpost Stamps, the Old Grist Mill plate.  I used a lot of paints on this, which I'll list at the end of the post.  I stamped with brown ink on tag cardstock, a good base to start with.  I started with the 2 trees, then the sky, and did the greens next, and the covered bridge last.  Using these shimmer paints is so much fun....I don't really "paint", I actually dab on the paint with my waterbrush, which gives me texture and shading, try it, you'll just luv the affect you get.  No stress, no staying in the lines, just let it flow, add some color and play, have fun and enjoy.  I do use my handy finger tool a lot to blend, for example, in the trees and bushes I added some Burnt Clay paint with my brush and smudged it in with my finger!  I also did the same in the sky, adding some Peach to the Sky Blue.  The gravel road is done in Tan, I smooched in some Mocha Latte...and then dabbed on some Antique Copper for texture...waiting until it was partially dry to dab.  Here is a close up of the shimmer....say "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh".....

Check out that shimmer! and it's all over the entire image.

Sorry I got kinda' windy today, just had a lot to say about the affects of the paints.

Paints used:
Sky Blue, Peach, Emerald, Evergreen, Burnt Clay, Chocolate, Mocha Latte, Tan, Burgundy and Antique Copper!

Have a wonderful artsy day.....hugz.........

Years ago when I was young, I wanted to move to Iowa, because of their wonderful soil??? Then came the movie "The Bridges of Madison County" and again I thought Iowa! Now you are putting that thought in my mind with this most beautiful scene! Love it my friend!
