In The Land of OZ...........

My children and grandchildren will tell you that I live in Oz on  any day! and I guess it must be true....most days I'm not in Kansas! (or Florida either).    Soooo, this last month I have survived with no phone, no internet, nothing but fun, sun, and relaxation (ok...beer and margarita's too) in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as close to any Oz as I will ever get.

With my first post back, I'd like to tell you how excited I am about the newest release from Artistic Outpost, OZ COLLAGE!

Inspired by Dorothy and Toto in that wonderful land of Oz.  Oz Collage features everything that we love about that whimsical tale:  the Tin Man, the ruby slippers, the Scarecrow, and of course Dorothy and Toto. Available in both unmounted sheets and pre-trimmed and mounted on EZMount cling foam, we know this one will soon be one of your favorites. All images are sized to work well together, and the Tin Man and Scarecrow collages are perfect 2.5" x 3.5" inches for all your ATCs and die cutting pleasures!  Visit the Oz Collage Gallery.

I just love all the Oz characters, and the Scarecrow is so real life like, I just had to use him first...can't you just hear him moving around the room!  I added some of Tim's Alterations and a few felt flowers and button an online friend just sent me.  The image is watercolored with DI, and I used the tech from the TJNL around the edges.  If you look really close at the leaves, you can see I added some clear plastic leaves that I die cut, colored with alcohol inks, and formed with my heat gun, what fun!

AND NOW to the really great news! In celebration of Artistic Outpost's Third Anniversary, all rubber stamps are 20% off from now until November 5, 2010. That includes all unmounteds and mounteds. Simply use the code: Anniversary at check out to receive your discount.

Be sure to stop by the Design Team Blogs and see what out Designers Created with the new Oz Collage Plate:

..............and I'll share some photos from our trip.  DH and I joined my brother and wife to celebrate his 64th birthday!  Loads of fun was had by all.  It's really hard to get back to reality, lol.

Norm and I on a fishing trip...it was so hot I had to cover up or burn!
Some of the fabulous scenery we saw. Kayakers are fighting high waves here.
This is one of the many beautiful pools, and beyond is the blue water of the Sea of Cortez.

See you again soon, thanks for stoppin' by......hugz

Looks like you had a great vacation and you survived the no phone/internet and extreme sun. The scenery is beautiful.

Love the ATC, it's gorgeous! Looks so different from your normal style but I love it and the leaves coming off the corner are a perfect touch. Can't wait to catch up when you get settled back in!

Hi Gerrie~

I was wondering where you have been! Your photos really look beautiful...I love photos of water!

I have to admit something, that I am afraid may get me banned! I don't like the Wizard of Oz! Yikes! Did I say it?! I have always been afraid of that movie. Is there a scary scene with trees or something? I know those flying monkeys had haunted me for years!

I do however, how you made this ScareCrow! I love the flower and the leaves, and the paper...with what looks like the original posters for it! I must say, you have de-scared me of the Scarecrow! I really like this card.

I hope this won't get me banned. I just wanted to share this big secret, so that if my comments are less than glorious...you would know it was the subject and not you. Same thing with bananas! Hate them. Smell Terrible. Prefer my potassium in a potato or pill! LOL!

He IS Able,
Traci S.
