I don't typically play in this particular challenge every month, cuz it seems very complicated to me, but I had time to take it on today. This is what I choose to recycle in my art, a piece of junk mail that came in on Thursday..
Before I show my project, I just want to say that I tried something new on the flower and leaves and will share it below.
So, I cut the flower and leaves using Tim's dies, and then went on to follow the instructions provided in this post. It really amazed me how pretty the flowers and leaves turned out using their instructions. Especially the part about using your alcohol ink tool and felt applicator, instead of using the typical sponge tool. I used orange paint and mahogany di, edged in black di on the flowers. On the leaves....I again recycled a paint chip, and used hazelnut paint and pine needles di, edged in black di. I used Tim's leaves stamp, and the rest are Wendy's, except for the bg, which is CHF.
Do try the tech if you have time, I think you'll really find out that it's pretty amazing how things turn our in the end. Here are photos of the flower after before I put it together, as well as the leaves....painted and then inked.
Well, another year of Blogger Challenge comes to an end.....may all of you in Blogger world have a Happy, Healthy New Year.....Big hugz.....
