How can it be September already! This year really flew by quickly.....I feel that way more and more as the years go by, but this year somebody really pulled the plug!
The Artistic Outpost Blog Hop this month is focusing on Fall. I have used the Old Grist Mill and Kudzu Kafe stamps to create my card for you today.
We don't really have "Fall" here in Southwest Florida......our leaves don't turn colors, nor do the leaves drop from the trees. The days start getting shorter, therefore we do cool off a bit, but that's not happening as of yet. Being a Chicago land gal for 1/2 my life, I do remember Fall of course...mostly the raking of the leaves, and burning them. The kids and I just loved to do it together, and then of course we burned the marshmallows on small branches. Good memories!
This is the Fall I remember.......leaves of different colors, and I do envy all of you that get to enjoy this. It just never lasts long enough.
Stamping on glossy paper, I dipped the oak leaf from Old Grist Mill into several inks and stamped away. Not having the correct brown I wanted, I colored a piece of Kraft with Gathered Twigs DI, and it looks like suede. I actually took out my long neglected embossing powders out for this saying.
Please do stop by the other Design Team members and enjoy the ART they have made for you...........

Super ATC, Gerrie! And, yes, that piece does look like suede! Love all the details, lie the flat-backed gems and using burlap. Great sense of Fall as I know it!
Beautiful background! Love the colors of the fall leaves and your added "faux suede" stamped panel works wonderfully here!
It's a beautiful card! I love the background of leaves and colors you used. I also like the faux stitched leather you used with the sentiment. Nicely done.
Great memories you shared with us, Gerrie! Here in the High Desert we don't really see too much Fall color. The background is such a great setting for that wonderful sentiment! Love the Fall feeling you captured!
Oooh, loving that background!! Perfect for fall!
Love how you made the sentiment the focal point . Gorgeous backdrop too. Tracy x
That leaf stamp is one of my very favorite stamps. It sits out on my desk all the time. I just love how you have used it here and also how you have included burlap. And I have to echo Tracy - using the sentiment as the focal point is wonderful!
Hugs,
Linda
