Happy Birthday Elvis!!!!

Today is Elvis Presley's birthday, he would have been 80 today!

It's hard to imagine The King at that age, especially if he continued to eat all those jelly donuts......

I made a tribute page with my Elvis collection, hope you enjoy it.

I made this in my much neglected journal I bought last year.  I had an idea to try to use as many stamps as I could on a journal page.  While browsing all the empty pages, I found this page with all the boxes and thought it would be perfect.  It worked out really great.  My journal is HUGE, 9x12....and every page is made from heavy printed card stock.  All I had to do was decorate the boxes and fill in the squares.  Unfortunately some of the splats did not show color, but you get the idea.

Here are some other photo shots.  The first is one of my favorites.  Look at the quality of this photo stamp.

These stamps are pretty old and I love them all.  They all stamp so well.  Sorry, but I have no idea who made these stamps.

I hope you get to hear some good Elvis music today.  Don't forget to dance!

hugs..............

What a nice tribute to Elvis! I like the ink spatters, they jazz up the page (ha, ha, pun intended!) I like the idea of a journal page for you. You could really go to town with all your stamps and your creativity!

You certainly do have a "collection" here, Gerrie! I am in love with your 9x12 album--no white space staring at you when you open it. This is a great page and tribute to The King! Well done!

Is that photo stamp from The Stampsmith? I might be all wrong but I was on their DT for a long time and I remember they had a few Elvis stamps (not that I have any myself).
This is a stunning tribute to Elvis.
