For The Red, White and Blue

This month, the Artistic Outpost Design Team Hop is "Americana".  I came up with my version of what it means in the Old West..............You can believe it or not..........but I believe COWGIRL Mabel was in charge ..... that's how the West was won! ..... that's my story and my bit of Americana folklore, and I'm stickin' to it!!!

My background was made with the Gelli Plate and stencils, it turned out to be a fun piece.  This was my first time using Mixed Media paper with the Gelli, I really like this paper over all the rest that I have ruined.  If you don't have any, it's really worth the trip to pick some up.  I know that I will use the Gelli Plate more often now.   Cowgirl Mabel is colored with markers and cut out and traced around the edges with black.  Words are the label maker, and the flag and top stars are shrink plastic.

Be sure to stop by the Designers Blogs for details on their projects!
