Be My Valentine

As I start writing this post, I thought about how excited I was to share Valentines with my Classmates. I think it was a very big deal.  As I remember, there was this big decorated box where we all put our valentines inside, the teacher would open it and call us up to get our valentines. I remember... I always had one special one for the boy of the moment, and would be so excited if I got one from him.....then it was treat time, and games. Oh, the innocence of youth!

The monthly blog hop is back at Artistic Outpost this month, and I choose to use Daisy, from the Great Gatsby plate. Lucky gal, Daisy and all those handsome men!  The little brooch on her sweater is actually a perfect, metal rose.

Hi GF!

You helped me remember those big Valentine's Day parties in school. We each had our own "mailbox" to receive Valentines in, however. So many types of candy and cookies, too!

I love this card! It's fabuloud right down to her perfect little heart! I really like the flourishes behind Daisy. (Perhaps from the fireworks!)

Hoping you are doing really well. I am re-organizing my art room down to the smallest detail...and THEN I can make some cards and scrapbook! I have new excitement to TRY to get caught up ontat least our wedding album. It'll be 15 years this July! Take care snd hsvr fun!

I am so sorry about the typos in my comment. I'm on my phone, and it is near impossible to go back and proof-read or make corrections!

Love ya!

Of course I love this, not simply because Daisy is from one of my all time favourite reads, but for greatness of this card with that sweet brooch you attached to her.
