Blogger Challenge 32

Better late than never.......This weeks Bloggers Challenge was to create a card using the Birthday Card Layout on the front of the StampinUp Sale-A-Bration Catalog. I actually started this card on Wednesday, using the SCS Color Challenge using the colors Summer Sun, Basic Grey and Going Grey. Then several cards later, and days too....I finally got finished with a card I liked. Funny how that happens sometimes. This card is done with a technique from the current Technique Junkies Newsletter, Reinker Splash - Morphed. I did the technique on watercolor paper, as I was looking for a softer look. I added some color with markers to the flowers, basket, ground and hair. I am very pleased with the outcome! I added a couple of silk flowers in the upper left, held on with a Build-a-Brad. Main image is from StampinUp, retired. Top flowers and saying are from Artistic Outpost.

Thanks for taking the time.............hugs, Gerrie

Great job with this weeks BC, I think your morphed version of the reinker splash turned out great, it does have a softer feel to it, I may have to try that!
