I'm so thrilled with the way this piece turned out! You know when you imagine something and it really happens that way......well...it did! I created this for the Sunday Stamper Challenge, Believe and the Gingersnap Creations GC33, Chestnut Theme challenge, Winter Wonderland.
A while back, Michael's had these holiday board books, and I bought 1 of every design, knowing I would use them.... someday....this Santa hat is one of them. I painted the hat with fired brick Crackle Paint, and dabbed on some Stucco stuff in a jar I had in my stash for the fur...smiling here, I like the way it worked out. When dry, I added some Brick Distress ink to the hat and Perfect Pearls Sparkle to the fur part. The Santa is from Rubber Stampede, framed in metal using a Sizzix die. I took a piece of Mica, cut it to fit the frame and dropped on some alcohol inks, then blew the ink to move it before it dried. It gives a cool, artsy effect to the image. The Believe is framed with faux stitching and I used the Antiqued Glimmer Mist tech from the current TJNL to age it. Thanks for stopping in and Merry Christmas week everyone! xxoo
