Stamping with Wendy & some Blog Candy!

I am really excited! Yesterday, I sat down with Wendy Vecchi's latest book, "make art, studio 490 style II", and made some art. I gotta' tell you, her book is fantastic, it's like she is right there next to you telling you what to do. We had a blast together, and I learned a lot. I only have 2 sets that I recently purchased, so I had to make do on a few things, but the results are FAB! First I'd like to share with you the 2 pieces of art I made from her book last evening, and then I'll tell you about the giveaway...........

I made this one first, it's about 3 x 5

The crown, flower and flourishes are all grungepaper...and this was my first time really stamping and coloring it, other than a teensy piece here and there...it works wonders for your projects. Then I moved up and made this project...........again, step by step, right out of her book......

I had to improvise with stamps, but you got the idea. The flattened bottle cap was my addition rather than a piece of chipboard and I really like it. I even got to add the Spritz & Flick Tech from the TJNL! It's amazing how you can shape your flowers and pieces to add depth and charm to your art. This piece is 6 x 6.
