Outside My Comfort Zone

Another Guest Designer piece for the Stampotique Designers Challenge,  SDC 187 which is to use Neon.

This really did become a fun challenge............after I figured out what I had in my stash to use, and what to do with it.  Thanks Astrid, for making me think out of the box.

First, I started to think about what I possibly had that was neon.  I found 3 old sprays and a few pencils.  I sprayed those paints on a piece of media paper, and
OMG what a mess.  The paints were thick and the sprayers were pretty clogged up......but I was determined to use that somehow.  I actually looked at it for days before I decided to make this little cityscape.  I stamped directly on the piece, then cut everything out.  I added a little white pen here and there, and added dimensionals behinds the roof, mushrooms and cats. The background was made by using the stick from the sprays that no longer worked, by dripping these on my craft mat and then spraying with water.  The background paper was pressed lightly into the mess!   The house was glued down first, then the fence was stamped direct.  Everything else just kinda' came together on it's on.

I did save these neon paints, you never know when I may need them again, right!

Stamps:  Comfort Zone
               Home Sweet Home
               Mushroom Small
               Picket Fence
               Gucio Walking
               Kitty Squad

Hugs,
